Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds by up to 500 percent, resume and schedule downloads.

ประเภทที่ 1

คือคนที่เกิดและมีสัญชาติไทยและได้แจ้งเกิดภายในกำหนดเวลา หมายความว่า เด็กคนใดก็ตามที่เกิดตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2527 เป็นต้นไป อันเป็นวันเริ่มแรกที่เขาประกาศให้ประชาชนทุกคนต้องมีเลขประจำตัว 13 หลัก เมื่อพ่อแม่ผู้ปกครองไปแจ้งเกิดที่อำเภอหรือสำนักทะเบียนในเขตที่อยู่ภายใน 15 วัน นับแต่เกิดมาตามที่กฎหมายกำหนด เด็กคนนั้นก็ถือเป็นบุคคลประเภท 1 และจะมีเลขประจำตัวขึ้นด้วยเลข 1 3 1006 01263 52 2

คือคนที่เกิดและมีสัญชาติไทยได้แจ้งเกิดเกินกำหนดเวลา หมายความว่า เด็กคนใดก็ตามที่เกิดตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2527 เป็นต้นไป แล้วผู้ปกครองลืมหรือติดธุระไม่สามารถไปแจ้งเกิดที่อำเภอหรือเขตภายใน 15 วันตามกำหนด เมื่อไปแจ้งภายหลังเด็กคนนั้นก็จะกลายเป็นบุคคลประเภท 2 มีตัวเลขตัวแรกในทะเบียนบ้านขึ้นด้วยเลข 2
[แก้] ประเภทที่ 3

คือคนไทยและคนต่างด้าวที่มีใบสำคัญประจำตัวคนต่างด้าวและมีชื่ออยู่ใน ทะเบียนบ้านในสมัยเริ่มแรก (คือตั้งแต่ก่อนวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2527) หมายความว่า บุคคลใดก็ตามไม่ว่าจะเป็นคนไทยหรือคนต่างด้าวที่ไม่มีใบสำคัญประจำตัวคน ต่างด้าว และมีชื่ออยู่ในทะเบียนบ้าน ณ ที่ใดที่หนึ่งในประเทศไทยมาตั้งแต่ก่อนวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2527 คนนั้นถือว่าเป็นบุคคลประเภท 3 และก็จะมีเลขประจำตัวขึ้นต้นด้วยเลข 3
[แก้] ประเภทที่ 4

คือคนไทยและคนต่างด้าวที่มีใบสำคัญคนต่างด้าว แต่แจ้งย้ายเข้าโดยยังไม่มีเลขประจำตัวประชาชนในสมัยเริ่มแรก หมายความว่า คนไทยหรือคนต่างด้าวที่มีใบสำคัญคนต่างด้าว ที่อาจจะเป็นบุคคลประเภท 3 คือมีชื่ออยู่ในทะเบียนบ้านเดิมอยู่แล้ว แต่ยังไม่ทันได้เลขประจำตัวก็ขอย้ายบ้านไปเขตหรืออำเภออื่นก่อนช่วง 31 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2527 ก็จะเป็นบุคคลประเภท 4 ทันที

คือคนไทยที่ได้รับอนุมัติให้เพิ่มชื่อเข้าไปในทะเบียนบ้านในกรณีตกสำรวจหรือกรณีอื่นๆ เช่น คนที่ถือ2สัญชาติ
[แก้] ประเภทที่ 6

คือผู้ที่เข้าเมืองโดยไม่ชอบด้วยกฎหมาย และผู้ที่เข้าเมืองโดยชอบด้วยกฎหมายแต่อยู่ในลักษณะชั่วคราว กล่าวคือ คนที่มาอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทยแต่ยังไม่ได้สัญชาติไทยเพราะทางการยังไม่รับรอง ทางกฎหมาย เช่น ชนกลุ่มน้อยตามชายแดนหรือชาวเขา กลุ่มนี้ถือว่าเป็นผู้เข้าเมืองโดยไม่ชอบด้วยกฎหมาย ส่วนบุคคลที่เข้าเมืองโดยชอบด้วยกฎหมายแต่อยู่ชั่วคราว เช่น นักท่องเที่ยวหรือชาวต่างชาติที่เดินทางเข้าประเทศไทย แม้บางคนจะถือพาสปอร์ตประเทศของตน แต่อาจจะมีสามีหรือภรรยาคนไทยจึงไปขอทำทะเบียนประวัติเพื่อให้มีชื่ออยู่ใน ทะเบียนบ้านสามีหรือภรรยา คนทั้งสองแบบที่ว่านี้ถือว่าเป็นบุคคลประเภท 6
[แก้] ประเภทที่ 7

คือบุตรของบุคคลประเภทที่ 6 ซึ่งเกิดในประเทศไทย คนกลุ่มนี้ในทะเบียนประวัติจะมีเลขประจำตัวขึ้นต้นด้วยเลข 7
[แก้] ประเภทที่ 8

คือคนต่างด้าวที่เข้าเมืองโดยถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย คือผู้ที่ได้รับใบสำคัญประจำตัวคนต่างด้าวหรือคนที่ได้รับการแปลงสัญชาติ เป็นสัญชาติไทย และคนที่ได้รับการให้สัญชาติไทยตั้งแต่หลังวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2527 เป็นต้นไปจนปัจจุบัน

คนทั้งแปดประเภทนี้จะมีเพียงประเภทที่ 3, 4 และ 5 เท่านั้นที่จะมีบัตรประจำตัวประชาชนได้เลย ส่วนประเภทที่ 1 และ 2 จะมีบัตรประจำตัวประชาชนได้ก็ต่อเมื่อมีอายุถึงเกณฑ์ทำบัตรประจำตัวประชาชน คืออายุ 15 ปี แต่สำหรับบุคคลประเภทที่ 6, 7 และ 8 จะมีเพียงทะเบียนประวัติเล่มสีเหลืองเท่านั้น จะไม่มีการออกบัตรประจำตัวประชาชนให้

หมายถึงรหัสของสำนักทะเบียนหรืออำเภอที่มีชื่ออยู่ในทะเบียนขณะที่ให้เลข กล่าวคือ เลขหลักที่ 2 และ 3 จะหมายถึงจังหวัดที่อยู่ ส่วนหลักที่ 4 และ 5 หมายถึงเขตหรืออำเภอในจังหวัดนั้นๆ

หมายถึงกลุ่มของบุคคลแต่ละประเภทตามหลักแรก ซึ่งทางสำนักทะเบียนในแต่ละแห่งก็จะจัดกลุ่มเรียงไปตามลำดับหรือหากเป็นเด็ก เกิดใหม่ในปัจจุบันเลขดังกล่าวก็จะหมายถึงเล่มที่ของสูติบัตร (ใบแจ้งเกิดที่อำเภอหรือเขตออกให้) ซึ่งก็คือเลขประจำตัวในทะเบียนบ้านของเด็กที่แต่ละอำเภอหรือเขตออกให้ และจะปรากฏในบัตรประชาชนเมื่อถึงอายุต้องทำบัตรนั่นเองแต่ถ้ายังไม่ถึงเกณฑ์ เลขนี้ก็จะปรากฏอยู่แค่ในทะเบียนบ้านของเด็กเท่านั้น
